Mount Kimball via Finger Rock Trail #42 and Pima Canyon Trail #62 is a 14.2 kilometer heavily trafficked out and back trail located near Tucson, Arizona that features beautiful wild flowers and is rated as difficult. This hike will hurt your glutes and several other muscle groups you didn't even know you had! Lol. It's a challenging hike that just goes Up, Up, and Up! The uphill is relentless. The 1st 1.25 miles is not difficult at all. I clocked an elevation gain of 670 sf in that distance. But, after that, it gets super steep. At some spots, I was literally bending at the waist to lower my center of gravity and keep climbing . The rock with the little cave is the half-way mark to the saddle where Finger Rock Trail ends and Pima begins. It takes you to the lookout point that offers a panoramic view of valley below. After a quick break there, we turned around and headed back to Finger Rock Trail. The incline of the trail gets even more steeper here onwards. Go slow and make sure to look back when taking breather breaks. The views are so pretty until you turn right and lose the canyon view.
